IT’S TIME TO START PREPARING FOR THE 2018 ELECTION!!

HELP DEMOCRACY WORK AS AN ELECTION JUDGE

Election Judges are needed this year for the administration of election procedures in each voting precinct for the Primary Election and General Election.  Election Judges and Election Judge Trainees are paid officials who staff local polling places to ensure that the rights of the voters are protected on Election Day.

Election Judges are essential to our democracy.  Serving as an Election Judge or trainee is an opportunity to learn more about the election process and is a great community service.

To qualify as an Election Judge, you must be a U.S. Citizen, a resident of Anoka County who has not had your voting rights revoked, be able to read, write, and speak English, and be at least 18 years of age.  If you are 16 years of age or older, are enrolled in high school or are homeschooled, and have permission from your parents and principal, you can be an Election Judge trainee.

Serving as an Election Judge is an excellent way to get involved within your community.  Election Judges are an essential part of our democracy and are needed more than ever.
