Opening heart, family, & home to a foreign exchange student

Open your heart, family, and home to an international student! Compass USA is looking for wonderful host families to take in a student for four weeks this summer. Hosting is a fun and unique opportunity, experiencing another culture without leaving home.

International students are excited to come and learn about our country and our families, and they enjoy sharing what life is like for them as well.

Three groups are coming to the North Metro this summer:

Spain Cultural Group (June 23-July 21) - Spanish students will participate in two weekly activities. The rest of the time is spent with the host family.

Spain Academic Group (June 28-July 26) - Spanish students will participate in class and activities most Monday-Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. with class on most Fridays from 8:30-12:30. Evenings and week-ends are spent with the host family. They do have time off from class for the 4th of July so families can enjoy spending time with their student over the holiday.

Independent Homestay Group (Various dates for 2-5 weeks) - Students come individually from France or Spain. There are no group activities so the student re-mains with the host family for the entire stay. Hosting is a volunteer position, but Compass USA offers a weekly stipend to help offset costs.
