ORDINANCE NO. 20-14
An Ordinance Amending ARTICLE 9, COMPREHENSIVE ZONING, to add building standards applicable to all zoning districts, to allow architectural metal panel surfaces in CD-2 zoning and to allow metal framed with architectural metal panel in I-P zoning.
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ham Lake, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
ARTICLE 9, COMPREHENSIVE ZONING of the Ham Lake City Code is hereby amended as indicated in the following sections:
9-141 Building Standards Applicable to All Zoning Districts
No building or permanent structure may be constructed in any setbacks as outlined in Table 10-1 of this code, except as allowed by the fence regulations outlined in Article 11-200. For corner lots abutting two streets, both street lines shall be considered front lot lines for purposes of applying the setback requirements found in Table 10-1. No buildings or permanent structures may be constructed in public easements or in existing or future septic areas.
9-220.3 Commercial Development II (CD-2)

a) Standards for Site and Building Construction
i) Metal or pole-type buildings shall be permitted if surfaces meet the requirements of ii below, and , provided that no galvanized surface may appear, all roofs shall be colored and incorporate a minimum 18 inch soffit on eave edges, 12 overhang on gable ends, and

ii) Modern metal paneling or architectural metal panel may be used for roof and exterior wall surfaces
,. provided that on the wall sides facing T.H.65, On all exterior wall surfaces, no more than 25% of the surface area may be modern metal paneling, used in combination with the remaining portion of these surfaces being brick, decorative masonry, stone, precast panel, architectural concrete, architectural panel, glass, stucco or wood framed with horizontal lap siding; For other wall surfaces, there shall be a wainscot at least 42 inches in height which is composed of brick, decorative masonry, stone, precast panel, architectural concrete, glass, stucco or wood framed with horizontal lap siding;
