Mark your calendar to get ready for Santa’s visit

Santa will make a pre-holiday scouting trip to Ham Lake neighborhoods again this year. Since his reindeer are resting up for Christmas Eve, he’ll hitch a ride with the Ham Lake Fire Department.  Watch and listen for the fire trucks on the following dates:

Thursday, November 30th (6:00 to 9:00 p.m.), the entire width of the City from the south border to 145th Lane NE.

Friday, December 1st (6:00 to 9:00 p.m.), the width of the City from 146th Avenue NE to Constance Boulevard NE.

Saturday, December 2nd (5:00 to 8:00 p.m.), the width of the City from Constance Boulevard NE to the northern boundary.

As they visit each neighborhood, firefighters will hand out candy canes. At the same time, they will pick up Food Shelf donations from the residents. Because of Ham Lake’s growth, the Fire Department asks that children and their parents walk out to the end of their driveways or the entrance to cul-de-sacs and dead-end streets in order to see Santa and receive their candy canes.

Santa and his drivers will make every effort to cover the entire City, but the size of the area may not allow for travel down every street in the time available.
