NIGHT TO UNITE - TUESDAY, AUGUST 6TH
Sheriff James Stuart
Anoka County Sheriff’s Office
13301 Hanson Blvd NW
Andover, MN 55304
It will be a NIGHT to Remember! Tuesday, August 6th is Night to Unite!
Night to Unite happens the first Tuesday of August each year. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office encourages residents in Ham Lake to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights, and spend the evening getting acquainted with each other during Night to Unite. Whether you are an organized Neighborhood Crime Watch (NCW) group, or just thinking about organizing, it is important to talk with your neighbors and find out what is going on.
The NCW program plays an integral part in crime detection and prevention, in partnership with the Sheriff’s Office. National statistics indicate that when neighbors are committed to participating in NCW programs, the quality of life in their neighborhoods improved. “Opportunity” provides the impetus for crime to occur. If neighbors organize their efforts to be vigilant of each other and their property, it will likely result in the reduction of criminal incidents.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is committed to Crime Prevention programs and Night to Unite. If you would like to host a party, log on to www.anokacounty.us/crimewatch to register or contact Laura Landes at 763.324.5179.
